  • 2 cups Powdered sugar sifted
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Heavy whipping cream adjust for consistency
For Decoration
  • 12 pieces Reese’s peanut butter cups unwrapped
  • 12 pieces Small edible eyes
  • 42 pieces Ghirardelli chocolate wafers for ears
  • 1 cup Pink Wilton candy melts
  • 12 pieces Brown M&M’s
  • 1 cup Nerdy Nummy heart sprinkles

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your cupcake pan with festive Valentine’s Day cupcake liners.
  2. Combine the cake mix, whole milk, unsalted sweet cream butter, and large eggs in a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fill each liner 3/4 full with the batter and bake for 21 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Cool the cupcakes completely on a wire rack before frosting.
  5. Beat together the frosting ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
  6. Pipe the frosting onto the cooled cupcakes, creating a generous swirl.
  7. Decorate each cupcake using Reese’s cups for heads, Ghirardelli wafers for ears, small edible eyes, brown M&M’s for noses, and heart sprinkles.
