  • 8 oz crab meat Fresh and sweet

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Brings silkiness to filling
For the Toppings
  • 4 sheets nori Wraps the layers
  • 1 cup asparagus Adds fresh crunch; blanching recommended
  • 1/4 cup sriracha mayo For a spicy kick
  • 1/4 cup unagi sushi sauce Sweet and smoky glaze
  • 2 stalks scallions Bright flavor addition
  • 1 cup cucumber For refreshing crunch
  • 2 tbsp furikake Umami flair

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a pot; bring to a boil.
  3. Cook the rinsed sushi rice according to the package directions.
  4. Stir in furikake and sesame seeds once the rice is cooked; press it evenly into the baking dish.
  5. Mix together cream cheese, crab meat, shrimp, and mayonnaise until well combined.
  6. Lay nori over the rice; then, spread the cream mixture over the nori.
  7. Add asparagus, then drizzle with sriracha mayo and unagi sauce.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until hot and the edges are caramelized.
  9. Garnish with diced avocado, cucumber, and scallions before serving.
