Preparation Steps
- Preheat your smoker or grill to 225°F (107°C).
- Mix the rub ingredients in a bowl and generously rub this mixture all over the brisket.
- Wrap the seasoned brisket in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
- Place the brisket fat side up on the grill grate. Add wood chips for smoking and close the lid.
- Smoke the brisket for about one hour per pound; check the internal temperature to reach 195°F (90°C).
- Remove the brisket from the grill and let it rest in aluminum foil for at least one hour before slicing.
