  • 1.5 pounds cooked shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tomatoes diced, seeds removed
  • 1 cup cucumbers Persian or English, diced
  • 1/3 cup red onion diced finely
  • 1 jalapeño finely diced, seeds and vein removed
  • 1 avocado peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves chopped
For the Citrus Marinade
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice optional sweeter variety
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice essential for marinating shrimp
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice adds depth to flavor
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • hot sauce to taste, optional

Method
 

How to Make Shrimp Ceviche
  1. Cut the cooked shrimp into bite-sized pieces and place in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Gently add the diced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, jalapeño, avocado, and cilantro to the bowl.
  3. In a separate container, combine the fresh squeezed orange juice, lime juice, and lemon juice. Stir well.
  4. Pour the citrus marinade over the shrimp and vegetable mixture. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Gently stir all ingredients until well combined. Serve fresh for maximum flavor!
  6. Optional: Serve with tortilla chips for a crunchy contrast!
