How to Make Raspberry Simple Syrup
- In a medium saucepan, mix together water, granulated sugar, and raspberries. Stir gently to combine.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and mash the raspberries with the back of a spoon. Continue until the mixture is fragrant and the sugar dissolves completely, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the syrup cool down to room temperature, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Carefully strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or jar to remove the raspberry pulp.
- Pour the strained syrup into clean jars and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
