  • 1 large Egg beaten, for glazing
Filling
  • 1 to 1.5 cups Fresh strawberries sliced for flavor
  • 1 cup Whipped cream for filling

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

Making Puff Pastry Hearts
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Layer one sheet of puff pastry on top of another and gently press together.
  3. Cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter and transfer to a baking sheet.
  4. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Cool the pastries on a wire rack.
  7. Prepare the filling by whipping the cream until soft peaks form.
  8. Slice each pastry heart in half and fill with whipped cream and strawberries.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar right before serving.
