How to Make Pomegranate Christmas Salad
- Wash the mixed greens thoroughly. Place them in a large serving bowl to create a fresh, crisp base for your salad. Allow them to dry completely.
- Slice the apple into thin pieces and toss them in lemon juice immediately. Slice the avocado and crumble blue cheese if needed.
- Candy the walnuts by placing them in a small skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir constantly for about 3–4 minutes until caramelized. Let cool on parchment.
- Mix the vinaigrette by combining balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper in a jar. Shake or whisk until emulsified and smooth.
- Assemble your salad by layering the greens, pomegranate seeds, apple slices, avocado, crumbled blue cheese, and the candied walnuts.
- Drizzle with the homemade vinaigrette just before serving, or serve it on the side for guests to customize.
- Toss gently to combine all the delicious ingredients and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
