Ingredients
  

For the Chocolate Layers
  • 2 bars White chocolate coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup Bittersweet chocolate
For the Mixing and Melting
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Peppermint extract
For the Topping
  • 2 candy canes Candy canes crushed

Method
 

How to Make Peppermint Bark
  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the First Layer: Melt 2 chopped white chocolate bars with ½ tsp vegetable oil until smooth. Stir in ½ tsp peppermint extract and spread in the lined pan. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  3. Create the Bittersweet Chocolate Layer: Melt bittersweet chocolate with remaining ½ tsp vegetable oil. Mix in ¼ tsp peppermint extract before spreading on the white chocolate layer. Refrigerate for 10 more minutes.
  4. Finish with the Top Layer: Melt last chopped white chocolate with final ½ tsp vegetable oil and remaining ¼ tsp peppermint extract. Spread this on top of the bittersweet layer, and sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.
  5. Set the Bark: Refrigerate the entire confection for about an hour until firm. Break into squares to share or enjoy.
