Preparation
  1. Begin by creaming the creamy peanut butter and softened butter in a bowl until smooth and well-combined.
  2. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, stirring until it’s fully incorporated.
  3. Gently fold in the slightly crushed Rice Krispies until combined.
  4. Scoop out the mixture and roll it into bite-sized balls. Place them on a tray and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until firm.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips with the vegetable shortening, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  6. Take each chilled ball and dip it into the melted chocolate, covering it completely.
  7. Return the dipped balls to the refrigerator and chill until the chocolate sets, about 30 minutes more.
