  • 1 cup Creamy peanut butter Star ingredient
  • 1/2 cup Salted butter Softened
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar Sifted before use
For the Coating
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips For melting
  • optional Vegetable shortening or coconut oil For coating

Method
 

Making the Peanut Butter Balls
  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter and softened salted butter until completely smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar into the mixture until it forms a thick, dough-like consistency.
  3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to firm it up.
  4. Scoop out the mixture and roll it into 1-inch balls, placing them on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Refrigerate the formed balls for at least 20 minutes to help them hold shape.
  6. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  7. Dip each chilled peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate and place them on wax paper.
  8. Return the dipped balls to the refrigerator until the chocolate has fully set, about 30 minutes.
