Making the Peanut Butter Balls
- In a mixing bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter and softened salted butter until completely smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar into the mixture until it forms a thick, dough-like consistency.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to firm it up.
- Scoop out the mixture and roll it into 1-inch balls, placing them on a lined baking sheet.
- Refrigerate the formed balls for at least 20 minutes to help them hold shape.
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Dip each chilled peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate and place them on wax paper.
- Return the dipped balls to the refrigerator until the chocolate has fully set, about 30 minutes.
