Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 1 pound frozen bread dough convenient option
For the Sausage
  • 1 pound hot Italian sausage can substitute with turkey sausage
For the Spinach Mixture
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil to prevent sticking
  • 2 boxes frozen chopped spinach thawed and drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder with parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Toppings
  • 2 medium plum tomatoes optional
  • 1 package sliced provolone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For Garnish
  • to taste fresh basil sprinkle before serving
  • to taste additional grated Parmesan for serving

How to Make Italian Spinach Pizza
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
  2. In a skillet, brown the Italian sausage over medium heat until fully cooked and crumbled. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In the same skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil and toss in the thawed, drained spinach along with onion powder, salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Sauté for 3–5 minutes until warm.
  4. Roll out the thawed bread dough on a floured surface until it fits your prepared baking sheet. Transfer it without tearing.
  5. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the dough, followed by the sautéed spinach mixture.
  6. Top with sliced provolone, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan. Scatter tomatoes on top if using.
  7. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Once baked, sprinkle fresh basil and additional grated Parmesan on top before slicing.

Notes
