How to Make Gingerbread Blondies
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 13×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, ground ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cloves in a medium bowl until well combined.
- Combine melted butter and brown sugar in a large bowl, mixing until smooth and creamy.
- Add molasses, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar blend, stirring well.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a thick, sticky dough forms.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool the blondies in the pan for about 10 minutes; prepare the frosting by beating the cream cheese and softened butter together until fluffy.
- Blend in the powdered sugar and clear vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Frost the cooled blondies, and cut into 24 bars.
