How to Make Gingerbread Blondies
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 13×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, ground ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cloves in a medium bowl until well combined.
  3. Combine melted butter and brown sugar in a large bowl, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add molasses, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar blend, stirring well.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a thick, sticky dough forms.
  6. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 20–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool the blondies in the pan for about 10 minutes; prepare the frosting by beating the cream cheese and softened butter together until fluffy.
  9. Blend in the powdered sugar and clear vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  10. Frost the cooled blondies, and cut into 24 bars.
