How to Make Fettuccine Alfredo
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook fettuccine until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- Drain the pasta and keep it warm covered while preparing the sauce.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Sauté minced garlic in the melted butter for 1-2 minutes, being careful not to brown it.
- Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer for about 3 minutes.
- Gradually stir in grated parmesan cheese until melted smoothly into the sauce.
- Toss the pasta in the sauce, seasoning with garlic pepper and salt to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with additional parmesan if desired.
