How to Make Dried Cherry Scones
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together in a large bowl the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and kosher salt.
  3. Incorporate the chilled butter into the flour mixture.
  4. Add the whole milk and dried cherries to the mixture. Stir just until everything is combined.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and gently press it into a circle that's about 1 inch thick.
  6. Cut out your scones using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  7. Arrange the scones on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush the tops with egg or cream.
  8. Bake for approximately 25 minutes, or until they become lightly golden brown.
  9. Cool your scones on a wire rack before serving.
