  • 1 cup Dried cherries
For the Glaze
  • 1 large Beaten egg or heavy cream for brushing

Method
 

How to Make Dried Cherry Scones
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the chilled butter until it resembles coarse meal.
  4. Stir in the whole milk and dried cherries just until combined.
  5. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and gently press into a circle about 1 inch thick.
  6. Cut out scones using a heart-shaped cookie cutter and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg or cream.
  8. Bake for about 25 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  9. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
