- Cook the bacon strips in a large pot over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion, carrots, and celery to the pot. Sauté for about 5 minutes until tender.
- Add garlic and Italian seasoning, and cook for another minute.
- Sprinkle flour into the pot, stir well, and cook for one minute.
- Gradually add chicken broth while stirring. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in heavy cream, diced potatoes, and corn. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
- Simmer for approximately 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
- Add cooked chicken and crumbled bacon back into the pot. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
