How to Make Cream Cheese Mints
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter. Use an electric mixer or a spoon to blend until creamy and smooth, around 2-3 minutes for the perfect texture.
  2. Slowly sift in the powdered sugar, about a cup at a time. Mix until fully incorporated and the mixture is a thick batter, adjusting the sugar to achieve desired sweetness and consistency.
  3. Carefully add the peppermint oil, starting with 4 drops. Taste the mixture and adjust based on your preference for mintiness.
  4. If you’re feeling adventurous, use food coloring paste to add a pop of color. Stir until the color is evenly distributed.
  5. With clean hands, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls. Place them on a sheet of wax paper.
  6. Using a fork dusted in powdered sugar, gently flatten each ball to create a lovely little disc.
  7. Let the mints sit out for about 2 hours, allowing them to firm up. Once dry, store them in an airtight container.
