- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, optional nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice until well-coated.
- Spread the apple filling evenly over the crust, then place the second pie crust over top, sealing the edges.
- Brush the top crust with melted butter and cut small slits for venting.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool the pie for 20–30 minutes before glazing.
- For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
