How to Make
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan generously to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, mix together the 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Then, add 2/3 cup softened unsalted butter and stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared pan.
- Bake the crust for 10–12 minutes, until it’s just lightly golden. Remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Make the topping: In a separate bowl, beat 8 ounces of softened cream cheese until it’s smooth. Then, add 2 tablespoons flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and 2 large eggs, mixing until well combined and creamy. Fold in 6 ounces of chocolate chips gently.
- Spread the cream cheese and chocolate mixture over your pre-baked crust.
- Bake again for 20–25 minutes, or until the topping is set and slightly puffed. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
- Prepare the glaze: Melt the remaining 6 ounces of chocolate chips until smooth. Spread the chocolate over the cooled bars and top with the 3/4 cup toasted nuts.
- Set the bars completely by allowing them to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes
For best results, ensure butter is at room temperature, avoid overmixing the cream cheese topping, and allow the bars to set completely before cutting.
